The project aims to align the EU’s climate and energy commitments and actions with the Paris Agreement’s objective of limiting global warming to 1.5° C above pre-industrial levels. The project builds on the opportunities provided by the revision of climate and energy policies (finalisation of the Fit for 55 legislative package, revision of the National Energy and Climate Plans, and revision of the national long-term strategies) during the project period (September 2022 – August 2025) and the improvement of public acceptance of more ambitious and inclusive climate action.
