Z baklami na Celovško in z rdečimi kartoni nad »mestne terence«
Ljubljana, 9. avgust 2008 – Organizaciji CIPRA Slovenija in Focus društvo za sonaraven razvoj sta z dogodkom Ogenj v Alpah sodelovali v vsealpski okoljevarstveni akciji. Dogodek je s prižiganjem bakel opozoril na vse bolj nevzdržno stanje v prometu v Sloveniji, še posebej pa na problematiko urbanega in tovornega prometa. Voznikom terenskih vozil so z akcijo ‘Stop terencem!’ razdelili tudi nekaj rdečih kartonov in jih tako opozorili na potratnost teh vozil.

Paket vključuje tudi predlog revizije direktive o evrovinjetah, katerega cilj je odpraviti pravne ovire, ki preprečujejo zaračunavanje stroškov onesnaževanja in zastojev, ki jih povzročajo tovorna vozila.

Evropska komisija bo raziskala izvajanje zakonodaje o označevanju avtomobilov
Ljubljana, 25. junij 2008 - Evropska komisija bo v šestih državah članicah (Belgiji, Franciji, Nemčiji, Poljski, Španiji in Sloveniji) poizvedovala, ali se upoševa pravica potrošnikov iz smernice 1999/94/EC, ki pravi, da morajo biti podatki o rabi goriva in CO2 emisijah vozil v tiskanih oglasih »lahko berljivi in nič manj opazni kot osnovni del informacije, ki jo [oglas] predstavlja«. Danes so okoljske nevladne organizacije iz teh šestih držav poslale uradno pritožbo na Evropsko komisijo.

Večina avtomobilskih oglasov nezakonita
Ljubljana, 6. junij 2008 – Ob letošnjem Dnevu okolja predstavlja Focus društvo za sonaraven razvoj kampanjo »Oglašuj CO2! «, s katero organizacije po vsej Evropi opozarjajo, da je večina avtomobilskih oglasov nezakonita. Evropska zakonodaja zahteva, da so podatki o rabi goriva in CO2 emisijah vozil v oglasu izpisani tako, da so vsaj tako opazni kot osnovni del informacije, ki jo oglas predstavlja. 99 % tiskanih avtomobilskih oglasov ta predpis krši.

Focus društvo za sonaraven razvoj je ministru Vizjaku posredovalo stališča do podnebno-energetskih tem, ki jih bodo evropski ministri za energijo obravnavali na Svetu za energijo 6. junija 2008.

Focus društvo za sonaraven razvoj je ministru Podobniku posredovalo stališča do podnebno-energetskih tem, ki jih bodo evropski okoljski ministri obravnavali na Svetu za okolje 5. junija 2008.
Predstavitev kampanje Oglašuj CO2!
Focus društvo za sonaraven razvoj sodeluje v vseevropski kampanji Oglašuj CO2! in na letošnji dan okolja pripravljamo predstavitev kampanje javnosti.
Vabimo vas na kratko predstavitev kampanje, ki bo 5. junija ob 10. uri v info točki Okoljskega centra na Trubarjevi 50 v Ljubljani.
Namen kampanje je opozoriti na nezakonito oglaševanje avtomobilov. 99 % avtomobilskih oglasov po časopisih in revijah ter na plakatih ob cestah v Evropski uniji je nezakonitih, ker niso v skladu z direktivo 1999/94/EC, ki pravi, da morajo biti podatki o rabi goriva in CO2 emisijah vozil »lahko berljivi in nič manj opazni kot osnovni del informacije, ki jo [oglas] predstavlja«.

Začetek kampanje Big Ask v Sloveniji podprl predsednik RS, dr. Danilo Türk
Ljubljana, 15. maj 2008 – Ob letošnjem dnevu podnebnih sprememb je Focus društvo za sonaraven razvoj ob podpori predsednika RS, dr. Danila Türka, pričel z izvajanjem slovenskega dela vseevropske kampanje Big Ask (velika zahteva). Cilj kampanje je doseči zavezo EU in njenih držav članic k letnemu zmanjšanju emisij toplogrednih plinov. Začetek kampanje so obeležili z akcijo v Ljubljani, kjer so mimoidoči lahko odločevalcem posredovali svoje 'velike zahteve'.
Vabilo na začetek podnebne kampanje Big Ask
Ob podpori predsednika Republike Slovenije, dr. Danila Türka, Focus društvo za sonaraven razvoj začenja ob letošnjem dnevu podnebnih sprememb s podnebno kampanjo Big Ask. Skozi kampanjo bodo lahko državljani Slovenije odločevalce pozivali k ukrepanju proti nadaljnjim podnebnim spremembam.
