Women are under-represented in decision-making, especially in areas considered more technical, such as energy. They are also under-represented in the senior management structures of energy companies. The EUWES project addresses the issue of women’s under-representation in management and leadership positions in the corporate sector of energy companies. The project’s multi-level analysis and mapping of national policies and strategies will help us to identify the main barriers for women working in the energy sector. Policy recommendations will be developed and awareness-raising activities will be carried out with decision makers, energy company management and higher education institutions.
